Another Boring Article About Printers And Technology
We first had the typewriter. If you were born before the 1970s or '80s, you will have "fond" memories of the typewriter. Yes, the typewriter was good, but nothing like technology we have today, which I will talk about soon. Instead of having your reports in illegible handwriting, the typewriter made your reports actually look nice and professional. The only problem was if you made a typo. Ugh oh. Then you had to either restart the whole report or just type over it, and it might not look to professional then.
The whole world today is accustomed to the smooth typing of the PC on programs like Microsoft Word. Obviously now it was in with the new and out with the old. When you make a error on the computer, you just hit the erase button and that was that; you did not have the two terrible choices that you had with the typewriter anymore
The printer now transformed your words from the screen to the paper. So easy. You just push the print button and out comes your document. Ah, life is so grand sometimes, eh?
The first laser printer was developed in 1969 by Xerox researcher Gary Starkweather. The first company to make a commercial laser printer, however, was IBM in 1975 with their model called the IBM 3800.
The rest of the article pertains to printers. Today's printers can do almost anything imaginable. We have laserjets, impact printers, photo printers, all-in-one printers, and the list is endless.
Deskjets are known for being cheap but reliable. A few years ago they were sort of expensive and of poorer quality. Today, deskjets are oth cheaper and more effective. Deskjets are a good deal in my humble opinion. They are smaller than laserjets and more practical for use in the home. Yes, I like deskjets. I have one at home.
A strength of the laserjet is that it prints quickly. You hardly have to change the ink because the toners are seemingly endless. They are a bit more expensive than deskjets but they are definitely known for being workhorses. Just think that deskjets are for the home usually, and inkjets are for the office.
Unfortunately, I am not well knowledgeable in 3D printers or dot matrix printers. null They basically only desire the printers that print on paper, not objects, as is the 3D printer's case. I mean, the popular printers for consumers are the laserjet and the deskjet. Another popular printer is the all-in-one printer.
Why? Because they are cheap and offer a great bang for their buck. In fact, they are of great value because they seemingly have everything-- literally. Instead of buying a fax machine , a printer, and a copier separately, you get them all together. What a great deal! And it's convenient for you too!
Remember that these are all just my opions and you can do whatever you want with them. But one thing's for certain. I bet you'd rather possess a printer than a typewriter, unless you are antique shopping.
Thanks for taking the time to read this article and I hope I could help you in some way.
Anybody knows where can i find a manual for "SAMSUNG SQ-1000 electric typewriter please? Many thanks to all.
Hi to all. Need your help how or where can i find an operational manual of a samsung electric typewriter model SQ-1000. I have already search it on the internet but i can not find anything. Can anybody guide me to the right website for this item? Is there anyone from Samsung reading Yahoo answers? Many thanks to all your help and assistance in advance. Warm regards, Mhadel
I would start with www.samsungusa.com. It's the Official Web Site for them in the US for mechanical support and services. Click on the country to browse and I would go to the very bottom of that page and click on 'contact us'. It walks you through their info page. I'm sure you could find a tel. number too. But with everyone on email, it's probably more efficient to email anyway.
Another thought: Maybe your library reference librarian can do a lending inter-library loan search for you and see if a library has one or can get one because lots of libraries have a whole mechanical skills section and also provide electric typewriters for their patrons to use? I'd go in person and see.
Good Luck.:}
