Celebrity Chefs And More And More Programs
Food oriented television programming is becoming more and more popular. Chefs are now becoming the new rock stars and their cuisinart hand mixer are their instruments. This is not a new phenomenon.
Celebrity chefs have been around for some time but never at this level. There are entire networks dedicated to cooking now. Many chefs have more than one show. There is an identifiable chef for everyone out there. This is based on personal style and taste.
Some chefs have their own line of skillets while others have their own electric hand mixer. As the popularity of a chef grows, so will their line of wares that they offer. Some chefs even endorse kitchen appliances like stoves and refrigerators.
Some of the food shows are very interesting. Many are entertaining and some are very educational. There are one's that might not make any sense to many people. Some of the shows that mix the science of cooking with actual cooking are quite entertaining. Some chefs are even appearing on stages across the nation. As their fans grow their appearances and types of appearances grow.
Eating competitions have lost a lot of viewers. There are a few that continue to watch, but most people are turned off by this type of show. Some viewers have even written in to the networks to express their disgust. Several of these shows have already been cancelled and the few that remain are in jeopardy of the same. Networks have been considering not airing this type of program any longer. They are finding that most people take offense to shows that focus on gluttony.
Chefs competing against one another has to be the most popular type of program. Many involve several chefs making a three to five course meal around several mystery ingredients. It is a very simple concept, but it is really being elevated to an adrenaline filled game show. Some of the shows involve groups of chefs working together to either bake or or cook. Some shows are even solely focused around making cakes.
Using a kitchen aid hand mixer to gain stardom might be better than getting into the movies. Each year new generations of viewers are becoming fans of cooking stars. There has even been a boost in numbers of people attending culinary school.
6 Gadgets to Invent Now (inc)
Inc. tech reviewer John Brandon sees the good, the bad, and the ugly gadgets
of the world. But here are six things he'd really like to see.
**As a product reviewer** and contributing editor at Inc. Magazine, I see
hundreds of gadgets a year. Some of them are useful, others seem like they
were invented by a preschooler. Yet every time FedEx or UPS pulls up to
deliver a package, I'm still excited to see what might be inside--it's what
has kept me interested in gadgets and technology for the last 10 years.
Since I test so many gadgets, I also tend to think about new business ideas.
Unfortunately, I can't drop everything and start a company in my spare time.
So, readers, I pass on to you six ideas for potential new products:
**1. Text-to-spoken-word device**
I want someone to make a device that bridges the gap between geeks and non-
geeks. While smartphone apps and the Siri service built into the Apple 4S are
helpful, your phone is not always available or sitting in an open room. A
small device that sits on the counter would be more useful. The idea is
simple: ...
