Tendonitis - How Writers Can Avoid It
The majority of online writers are suffering from wrist tendonitis. People who are suffering from this condition will feel numbness and pain on their wrists. If you just ignore it, chances are you will no longer be able to write or type. This is one of the major disadvantages for online writers. Though it will still be possible to type with just one hand, it will take twice as more time to finish what you are writing and chances are you other wrist can experience tendonitis as well. Therefore it is ideal to think of other alternatives while you are waiting for your tendonitis to completely heal. Source: Tendonitis Treatment
One of the possible options is to hire some help that will do the typing while you are dictating. Though this can be costly but you will be able to meet your writing deadlines and can make your clients happy. If you are on a budget then you can either ask a relative or a friend to the typing task.
Using a speech recognition software is also another option. While the up front cost is a lot higher, it is proven effective and useful. All you need is to set up the software, a mic and training. You can then start to dictate your articles after this. What's good with this is that you will be able to save more time, thus increasing your productivity. The drawback is, you still have to proofread and check for errors.
As a freelance writer, you surely know a lot of other writers and you can outsource them to fill in for you. You can make an outsourcing arrangement with writers and you will be able to meet your commitments, though you will not be getting all of your income. This is one of the reasons why it pays to have a team of writers.
If you are not able to meet your commitments in writing through typing, outsourcing or dictation, then your only choice would be to reschedule the work. You can just ask your employer to extend the deadline and hopefully they will consider it. More about Tendonitis including treatment methods at Tendonitis Treatment
It is possible not to use all of these available options. You can mix and match to ensure that your commitments are met. What's important is your health, so make it a priority.

Court Reporter needing wireless microphone system, what is the best?
My wife is needing to upgrade her current dictation microphone system. She is wanting to go wireless. I have done some searching with no luck. What out there can meet her needs? She is wanting something that she can put on the judges deck, or anywhere else that will record wireless. Is there anything out there she can use. Currently she is using an outdated Olympus recorder.
Why not get her a new digital voice recorder? She can just place it near the judge and then play it back later?
If she needs to dictate in real time, she will need to get a wireless mic and a small mixer and headphones.

In the near future, we're going to see a lot of new investment in voice
interfaces begin, and prior investments in voice interfaces pay off.
