Ensure Any Website You Buy From is Legitimate
It is my daughter's birthday in a couple of weeks and I really don't have the time to go into town shopping.
I thought it would be a great idea to do a spot of shopping from the comfort of my own home.
She has already jotted down a few prezzies she would like. Really this should have made my job a lot easier.
Some of the clothes she wants are from a website that I haven't previously heard of before.
I must admit I am still a bit worried about some websites, especially if they don't have a contact telephone number.
Nevertheless I decided to plough ahead and put in an order for the 2 items she wanted. I opened an online account, placed my items into the basket and then proceeded to the checkout.
This is where my concerns really grew as the little security padlock at the bottom of the right hand corner of the page showed that the site wasn't secure for my credit card details.
I sent the company an email asking for their telephone number so I could place my order over the phone. It's a couple of days later now and I still haven't received an answer to my email.
Unfortunately for my daughter this all means that unless I find the time to visit the store, she won't be getting her presents as I am not prepared to put my credit card details onto a non secure website.
I would expect if you are paying for a website to be built you would ensure all aspects of web design are covered. This isn't just a case of popping a few items on a website. You have to make sure people can find your website amongst all the millions of websites out there. This will involve engaging a company who are brilliant at Search Engine Optimisation. However, this would all be a complete waste of money if you don't ensure your website is secure.
All potential customers will need to ensure that your website is secure and unless you can guarantee this, you will be loosing sales. Ensure your chosen website design company want your business to succeed just as much as you do and get it right from the outset.
How can I clean my daughters board books?
My mother in law is always sending my daughter board books that she gets from flee markets and handy me down stores. They are always really dusty and not necessarily gross but i need to wash my hands after handling them. How can i clean them up for my daughter to play with, without the cardboard getting soggy or ruining them?
I would spray a cloth with a mixture of 50/50 vinegar and water. It's a great cleaner and safe for your daughter if she should put them in her mouth.
